POSTURE & MUSCULAR FUNCTION AND PERFORMANCE
I am a very science based massage therapist, drawing upon many years of experience and a wide range of assessment tools. How you present is imperative for developing and executing an effective treatment and home-care plan. It is my goal to work out what will bring about positive long-term changes as well as working out what are the core sources of pain/disfunction/imbalance. Without this knowledge, massage is great for feeling good but not necessarily bringing about the changes required.

ASSESSMENT
Obtaining a static picture of how your muscles and joints are balanced and aligned.
Recognised assessment methodologies are used to look at your static body alignment. A great tool to help find 'sources' and 'causes' of pain or dysfunction rather than 'symptoms'. Vital for correct massage treatment and exercise prescription.
EXERCISE PROGRAMMES
Stretches and exercises can be provided as home care to compliment your massage treatment and help you achieve your goals.
Utilising the information gathered, individualised programs (including stretching, pilates based floorwork exercise and rehabilitation exercises) are designed for your personal situation.
The goal is to provide long term solutions and achieve a more balanced, functional muscular system.
